Girls aged 11-13 were to be given the possiblility to ask specific
questions about "puberty and mensturation" and to receive immediate
answers edited in a playful way.
The CD-Rom should communicate proved educational material in a individual
and coherent way as to interest female students to become more involved
with this subject. By allowing unprecendented accesibility, girls are
able to discover new information through their own personal interests.
The user-interface was specifically designed in a playful way to allow
girls to gather experience while using the CD-Rom. This was achieved
by showing real-life-situations created by photo shootings and voice-recordings
of the main characters Katrin and Ali.
In order to optimize the product, several tests were carried out in
a usability lab together with the girls during the entire production
time.
